Mattie Gapinski '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mateusz (Mattie) Gapinski and I am 6’ 1” and 195 lb . I play 1B and P,  but can play any position were needed. Growing up I’ve always wanted to play baseball at a competitive level, I have overcome many obstacles and challenges throughout my freshman and sophomore years of high school, by losing weight and gaining muscle so I can play baseball at a good academic school with competitive baseball. I have a 4.0/5.0 gpa with my transcript having mostly AP/Honors classes.  On and Off the field I have a great work ethic, while I can get a little lazy in school. I love the sport so much that I even have a job working front desk at my baseball facility (so I can get some extra swings and lift weights when I have the time).
