03/27/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Lynwood (Chicago), IL Cayden is a 2B who will graduate in 2023. Tall frame athletic build with strength present. At 2B, showed athletic actions, with fluid/active feet, and has good body control at the baseball. Works from right to left and fields from an athletic/square fielding position with soft hands out front. Has a short/loose arm stroke and throws from a low 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 80mph across the diamond. Made accurate and on-line throws consistently, with good carry on his ball, and he keeps his feet moving throughout throwing process. Showed good touch of his DP feeds. At the plate, he hits from an upright and even stance. Starts with a short glide step, with activated hands, and keeps weight between his knees. Gets his back through and has a fast bat through the hitting zone during his round of BP. Showed a flat barrel path as he hit balls hard into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 85mph. With another year of growth and development, we foresee Cayden having a bright future on the baseball field.

NOTEWORTY PERFORMERS + Left-handed hitting infielder, Cayden Hart (Lakes Community, 2023), made his trip from Northern Illinois worthwhile. The 6-foot-1, 172-pound Hart looked the part on the infield, handling himself well on the move with rhythmic footwork. He played low to the ground throughout, showed steady hands that worked out front, and delivered accurate throws to first base. Hart’s funnel to second base on his double play feed was clean and he also controlled his body well on the run through play. Hart showed actions capable of sticking on the infield in the long term. Offensively, Hart swings with aggression and an intentful look in the box. Hart stays controlled through his finish, has natural lift to his swing and drives hard contact into both gaps. Also, ran a 7.34 60.

Long arm action, high 3/4 slot. FB: T75, 74-75 mph. Arm-side movement, flashed sink. T1995, 1941 average rpm. CB: 62-64 mph. Sharp acting 11/5 break, fastball like arm speed. T1745, 1674 average rpm. CH: 68-69 mph. Plays straight, near fastball arm speed, thrown to the arm side. T1420, 1333 average rpm. CUT: 65-67 mph. 10/4 action. Hit: LHH. Open stance, bar pre-pitch load, short leg stride to even. Long uphill swing, working gap-to-gap. Power: 83.73 max exit velocity, averaged 73.54 mph. 285’ max distance. Arm: RH. INF - 73 mph. Long arm action, high 3/4 slot. Defense: Works to get around the baseball, fields low to high, plays through the baseball. Run: 7.20 runner in the 60.

02/15/2021 - All-In Membership - Lake Zurich (Chicago), IL Cayden (Soph. 2023) is an athletic 2B/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. At 2B, defensive abilities are solid he displays smooth/athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but will benefit by presenting earlier and more out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers ground. At the plate, he continues to shine through a tall, open setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half. On the mound, fastball showed range of 74-76 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 3/9 shape with across break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Cayden has potential with time and room to progress his game. Rated 48 on Hitting (= to Solid Varsity HS Players/ College Level) also Rated 45 for Fielding (= to Solid Varsity HS Player)
