Personal Statement

Hi Coach,

My name is Easton Tally and I am a senior at Lemont High School in the Chicago suburbs. I am excited to be a part of the state championship-winning LHS baseball program and a member of the Illinois Hitmen travel organization. My primary goals after high school include pursuing business and Spanish degrees at a highly selective university and playing baseball at the collegiate level. I am looking to have a positive impact both in the classroom and on the field. There are several reasons why I believe you should consider me to become a part of your program.

1.  I will be a top-notch representative for your university and baseball program because of my high moral character, academic excellence, and athletic performance. Evidence of my academic and athletic success is available in my profile.

2.  I am a leader who can also follow. I first observe the team, learn its systems, and get to know my teammates. I lead by example encouraging those on the team and helping them to succeed.

3.  My work ethic and discipline outside of practice set me apart. I am a self-motivated student of the game who works year-round to improve my knowledge, skills, and mental toughness. I am coachable and actively seek opportunities to grow as a person and player.

4.  Relationships matter to me. I interact with teachers, coaches, teammates, friends, and acquaintances with respect, acceptance, and gratitude, and work to build valuable and lasting relationships. I treat others as I want to be treated.

Thank you for your time,

Easton

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
