My pure love for the game of baseball has been ever present in my life. Ever since I could walk, I was playing the game. Since I began travel ball at the age of eight, I have played every position on the diamond. In the outfield or on the rubber is where I excel the most. Whether it's fanning batters to end the inning or laying out to make the play of the game, I'm always working hard to ensure I bring my best self to each practice, workout or game. One area I enjoy is looking at my previous year's stats and seeing how my capabilities continue to grow. Being able to increase my velocity on the mound and tweaking my swing are areas I continue to develop. In addition, baseball has taught me how to be a true team player and how to lift others up when they are in a slump. My teammates would say I'm the life of the dugout. I bring the energy regardless of the situation at hand. My goal is to pitch and play the outfield at the D1 level where I intend to major in kinesiology with a minor in sports management. I aspire to be a physical therapist or a sports trainer where I can continue to be connected to sports. The adults who have worked with me have said I am coachable and humble; I know my weaknesses and am willing to be told how to make the necessary corrections. In the classroom, I have good relationships with my teachers and work hard to maintain my 3.6/4.0 GPA. My teachers have stated that I am motivated, hardworking and dedicated. I feel being on a State Qualifying Baseball team this year further solidified my desire to play at the next level.
