My name is Karson Bonaparte. I am an athlete who loves to work on my game every day of the year, but I also love school. I have loved going to school since the day I started Pre-K. I love the opportunity to hang out with my friends and I love to learn new things. I normally find myself catching on to things quite quickly in the classroom, so I end up finding myself helping others with what they don't understand. I also like to give back by working with the youth who also have a love of a game and school. I want to help kids get reps in and work on their game. I believe that every kid should have the same opportunity to make it in whatever sport they choose, and if I can help them achieve their goal, I will try my best to do so. I also found that if you are able to teach somebody else what you have learned or know, you yourself will get a better understanding of it as well.
Besides the classroom and school, I love to hang out with friends and just relax, or play mini ball outside. I am fortunate enough to have grown up with the same group of guys my whole life, and have developed a strong bond with this group of guys. So when one of us is doing badly, we all try to help that person get back on his feet, they are like my brothers. In 2017, I decided to change schools and go to a high school in Bloomington, Normal IL to have a better academic challenge and more competition in baseball, not only the teams we would play, but the competition for that starting spot on the field. I no longer get to see my friends as much, but they all still check up on me and make sure I am doing well. These guys have helped make me the athlete/Person I am today.
Another very important thing to me is my family. Without my family, I would not have made it this far nor would you be reading this if it wasn't for them. My entire freshman year they would pick me up from school and practice, it doesn't sound like much, but it is 30-35 minutes away, so it can be tough sometimes. I have a very supportive family who wants to see me succeed in life, with whatever I do, that’s all that I can ask for. They have provided me with every tool I need to be successful, and I know they will continue to provide me with many more to come. I love them for being with me every step of the way.
