Many people have influenced my life and specifically my love for baseball. Growing up, my older brother played baseball and my Dad was one of my coaches. They introduced me to the game at a very young age and continue to support me today. I’ve had the privilege to play on a number of baseball teams. This allowed me to learn from numerous coaches, adapt to their style of coaching and meet new teammates. My current pitching and hitting coaches influence me by encouraging me to always try my best, be disciplined in my training, and strive to reach my potential.
Through baseball I have learned that I am resilient, strong, athletic, intelligent, and disciplined. Experiencing the disappointment of teams breaking apart, I had to prove to new coaches that I was coachable and could add value to their team. I’ve had to be driven to keep growing and improving as an athlete. I currently play both football and baseball. I’ve accomplished lettering as a varsity football player during my sophomore year. My goal is to find a college that values athletics, specifically baseball, along with academics.
