Ryan Gordon '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ryan Gordon and I am a primary catcher but also am a utility player out of Highland High School in Highland, Indiana. I am in the class of 2024. I am 5’4 150 pounds. I have been playing baseball for as long as I can remember. That makes baseball special to me. With playing baseball for how long as I have been playing I think that I would be a great asset to a college program. 

My Sophomore year, I was the starting catcher. I hit .302 with 7 strikeouts out of 63 at bats and 84 plate appearances. When I am not playing for my high school baseball team in the summer I play Babe Ruth and I have been on  travel teams for the past 7 years. 

When people ask how I describe myself I would say that I am a hard worker. I want to be the best person I can be and I keep striving to be that person everyday. That is why I think my passion for the game is very high. I feel like I would be a good role player to a college team's roster. I would want my teammates to push me to be the best I can be and I would want to push them to be the best they can be. 

I am looking forward to finding a school that is well rounded in baseball and has a good program with Computer Science. I want the school to be a place where I can feel home away from home.
