Maegan Shaw '21 Recruiting Profile

I would like to play soccer competitively for a University that can also provide the education that I will need to succeed in the career path that I choose. 

I started playing Club soccer at the U10 level.  I played for 1 year on a composite team at U12.   At U13 I moved up onto the Elite teams within and played at the MRL and State Cup levels.  At U16 my USYS team won the Illinois Presidents Cup and earned a spot to compete in the Regional's in Kansas City, MO.  I have trained with ECNL teams and am currently playing in the National League with my club team. 

My first high school team experience is my sophomore year.  I played on the Varsity level as a starting forward.    I enjoy this team as it gave me a gratification, I learned great leadership lessons on and off the field and i feel socially it has improved my high school experiences.   The bond that my high school team has on the field cannot compare to my Club team.   My team was successful and I really enjoyed the different experience.
