Hello, I am Kyren Whitaker from Salina, Kansas. I am 17 years old and attend Salina South High School. I am class of 2023, previous years I played multiple sports including Football and Basketball. After realizing my passion for Baseball and the furthering of wanting to play at such high levels - I decided to follow that path. I have been playing sports since a very young age and since then have noticed the effort and dedication belonging to each game.
A goal I have set for myself throughout this year is to receive a sports scholarship and receive notice from many coaches. In college, I plan on chasing after an MBA major as well, meaning college academics are huge to me just as much. In the aspects of Baseball, I couldn’t describe how much love I have for the game itself. Being something I have been involved in since a kid I have learned so much that has improved among myself, not only athletically but as an individual in general.
Before High School I played a variety of positions including all of the Outfield, First Base, and Catcher at times. As I continued to grow, I found a passion for the Outfield and have been consistently playing such a position since. Another position I have felt belonged to was Pitcher. I am interested in the things I will learn not only this year, but for the rest of my athletic career. I love being coachable because it makes me feel as if I am improving when critiqued and fixed.
To the next challenge, I am ready to take that step and the continual growth within all aspects that come along.
Thank you.
