Hello, as you may have already noticed, I am Matthew Ma. I’m from Watson, Louisiana and play baseball for the Live Oak Eagles. I am a 3rd Baseman, pitcher, and 2nd Baseman. I am also 5’10, 190 pounds. I have a dream to one day play college baseball and become the first member of my family to do so. My father played ball in high school and wasn’t too bad, but did not go to college for family reasons. I’ve loved baseball since I was a kid and find it hard to leave the field sometimes after school. I am always the first one in the weight room and you won’t find me leaving field until there is no one left at the school. I’ve always worked hard to be a team leader and to make the ones around me better as I played. I would much rather be remembered as the best teammate I could be and the ones the players could look up to and follow, than the guy who hit 20+ homers and didn’t care about his teammates. I want to go to school at a place where I can further my education and baseball skills at the same time. I am open to many different types of schools. My greatest achievement so far in my short career would be being selected to the All-American team in 2017 and placing 2nd in the tournament. But mostly, I would like to go to college and play at the highest level possible. I want to be a great teammate and great player and bring a college team to a World Series win.
