Jonathan Oden '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jonathan Oden and I attend Oakdale High School in Ijamsville, Maryland. Currently I am a Senior and will grduate in 2014. I primarily play catcher and pitch a little to close out games. I have been playing baseball since I was 5 and been playing travel ball since i was 8. I have started every year of my high school career and am also a team captain. I have a strong work ethic and extreme dedication towards the game. I usually spend my days at the school from 6am-4pm in the offseason by throwing and weight lifting. I am always the first to arrive and last to leave as I lead by example. My aspirations are to play the highest level of college baseball that I can, while earning a degree in Criminal Justice. I am very active in law enforcement as I take criminal justice classes at our county tech center and hold the rank of sergeant at the local county sherriff''s office explorer post. I frequently participate in ride alongs and assisting the sherriffs office in events. Baseball is my life and I am constantly trying to improve.
