Aidan Greaney '21 Recruiting Profile

I want to play baseball for as long as I can because I have a sincere passion for everything about this game.   I want to play competitively in college and of course playing professionally would be a dream come true.  I am still thinking about what I want to study specifically as I have many interests.  I was chosen to attend the Career and Tech center for Applied Mechanical Engineering for my high school starting January 2020 and am excited about that opportunity.   I believe that academics is just as important as playing a sport.  In addition to my studies and sports I also work every weekend and summers on Shamrock Race Horse Farm.  I love making my own money and the feeling of the accomplishments I make there. 

If recruited I will be a valuable member of your team.   I love improving and working hard and I have always been told that I am a very coachable player.  Although I am a very competitive player, I always strive to have a good attitude on the field and believe this is contagious and key to being a good teammate.  I also play basketball but love baseball because of the endless possibilities of how a game can go.  It's a team sport and everyone has to compete to win but it is also a battle one on one with a pitcher or a hitter.   I love the scenarios that develop each time someone is up to bat.  It's always a challenge and some days you are a hero and some days you are less but the endless possibilities keep you fighting!  Over the years I have played a number of different positions and therefore know I could play anywhere but my favorite and primary spot is third base.   I also play short stop and first base.  I love playing the game and believe in always giving my best!  

You would not be disappointed.
