The game of baseball has taught me so much about the game of life and about myself as a person and a player. I am overjoyed by the thought of continuing my journey at a competitive level in college. I truly love the game. I love to play it everyday even if that means playing it in my backyard by myself. Since I was younger, baseball has always been my first love. In the last few years, my progression has accelerated, and I have learned that input equals output. I lift weights, I train all Winter and I am proud of my gains. On average, my fastball is 7mph faster and I’m hitting the ball 40 feet farther than I was one year ago.
Baseball is more than just a game for me. I love being on a team where we all feed off each other doing the thing we all love to do. I’m easy to get along with and I’m that guy that picks up my teammates when they are down. I breathe life into the team when we need it most. I can put the ball in play in spots that are more difficult to hit to and, as a lefty pitcher, I have a lot of natural tail to my ball, making it harder to hit my normal fastball. My speed and ability to track balls hit to the outfield also make me a great addition to left and center field.
My goal is to become the best player that I can be and to help my team in any way that I can. I will continue to prove to myself and my team that we can accomplish anything that we put our minds and bodies to. Thank you for taking the time to read this and to try to get to know me and thank you for your consideration.
