Justin Ethier '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Justin Ethier. I am a junior and the starting catcher at Nashoba Regional High School in Bolton, MA and I have always desired playing baseball at the collegiate level. I am 17 years old, 6'2 and 205 lbs. I have always loved baseball ever since my first game of coach pitch when I was 4 years old. Everyday as a kid and still to this day I would watch baseball games on TV, and in the offseason I am always watching the highlights from throughout the years. This habit has grown my baseball knowledge while I’m playing and thinking about the game; something I am very proud of, I am able to know what pitches to call in what situations and use that thinking up at the plate and try and figure out what the other pitcher is throwing to me. I am a hardworking and a very determined person both on the field and in the classroom.  I have a 4.33 GPA and I am taking multiple honors and AP classes each year of high school. I am a right handed hitter and thrower.  As a batter I take pride in my ability to hit for power as well as average and use the whole field to my advantage as well as being a smart situational hitter. I am always in the batting cages making adjustments and gaining confidence in my swing as well as bettering my catching stances, blocking and quickness behind the plate. I work with Coach Jon Gendron and Sean Trainor at the NE Eagles facility and play under Chuck Schoolcraft during the High School season.
