Ever since I was young I have been surrounded by baseball. My dad's job influenced me to play baseball and that is why I love the game today. I have been surrounded by some of the best coaches and players in the game who have taught me a lot about the sport. The grit and grind of baseball taught me how to fight through my toughest moments and how to keep consistency day in and day out. My favorite part of baseball is the competition and the satisfaction of winning.
In Michigan, in my freshman year of high school, my team won the state championship. The feeling of winning gave me more drive and even more reason to put in more work in the offseason to keep winning and succeed.
My family moved from Michigan to Boston before my junior year. I earned the starting catcher job on my new high school team in Massachusetts and we won the ISL championship. Along with the championship, I received first team all ISL, which was an individual goal of mine that I would have not received without the motivation to win. I'm looking for a program where the academics fit me well and winning is everything. I believe I have the talent to play for a college team and bring the winning mentality towards your team.
