Ryan Hohmann Varsity team Captain '19 Recruiting Profile

Throughout my education, personal life and athletic career baseball has been my major driving force.   This force drives me to work as hard as I can in the classroom and field, so I can attend a reputable college with competitive baseball. I am currently a junior at Norwell High school and was named Varsity team captain and all star. I have been a starting pitcher on Varsity since my freshmen year as well as playing second and third base.  It is evident to my coaches, teammates and family that baseball is not only my passion, but what I am meant to do. I have consistently delivered on the field as a starting pitcher and infielder since I was 8 years old and have dedicated myself to play year round on town and travels teams such as the Seadogs, Mariners and Legions. For the past two summers I have been the starting pitcher and second baseman on The Boston Prospects.  On the mound, my primary pitches include a change up, curveball and fastball where I have reached 87 miles per hour.  What sets me aside from other athletes is my motivation to physically and mentally push myself past all limits.  My goal is to play collegiate baseball for a school where I can succeed academically and prosper athletically. I have the utmost respect for my coaches, teammates and the sport itself and  know I will continue to grow as a baseball player and student because of my  competitive drive and acceptance to always work on my weaknesses.
