Personal Statement

I am fortunate to have been influenced by a supportive family, encouraging friends and a positive school culture. My parents have always encouraged me to excel in school and on the field. I surround myself with friends who push me to do my best. And I have benefited from the culture of schools that have a positive learning and athletic environment.

Baseball has been a significant part of my life since I was five years old and I have been passionate about the game since T-ball. I feel most confident when I’m in the game, on the mound or in any game environment. I am a competitive person which helps me on the field and in the classroom. I am also coachable and a good teammate. I have gained many skills from the coaches and advisors I have been blessed to have.

Additionally, my parents have always instilled in me that academics are equally important and I have always worked as hard in the classroom as I do on the field. Because of this, I have gained positive time management skills. I am looking for a college that allows me to compete and challenges me academically. I am looking to have fun on the field and gain a quality education.

  • -FB up to 82 with high spin. Slight cut to the pitch and the axis shows there is some horizontal movement to it. If you could improve your velocity, this could turn into a really good pitch that will create swings and misses. -Really good command of FB. Able to locate pitch side to side well. -CH has good action and throws in the strike zone. Same spin axis as the FB and should create good deception. Velocity is at 74/6 and might be a little firm for FB velocity. -Breaking ball is thrown for a strike. Velocity is 66/67. Comes out of hand pretty good with small hump in it. -Direction is good and allows for good command of all pitches. Repeats delivery well. Back leg works well and has a good glute load. -Need to add strength in lower half to get more out of delivery. Arm is quick and should have more velocity coming if you can add muscle and size. Hand break is clean.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
