Hi coaches. My name is Connor Gothorpe, and I am a senior at St. John's High School in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. During my time in high school, I have held a 3.53 unweighted GPA, taken multiple AP and honors classes, and have held myself to a high standard. I always strive to do my best whether it be academically or athletically. My goals past high school are to excel in all aspects of the college experience. I currently am interested in political science, and want to try and do a double major if given the chance. Not only do I want to double major, but I want to gain a genuine knowledge and interest in the subject I study. If I do not, I feel that I will not have gotten everything out of my education that I could. In terms of running and athletics, I want to do anything possible to help my team win. Through coaches and teammates, I have realized that no matter my individual results, the team comes first. Whether it be cheering on teammates, or doing that extra rep that my coach just threw at me, I want to do it. Obviously, performing well helps the team in the results, but there is more to being a good teammate than being the fastest on the team.
