My name is Kyle Sylvester and I am currently a senior at Xaverian Brothers High School,
located in Westwood MA. I play 2nd base and bat 2nd for Xaverian where we take part in
the most competitive league in Massachusetts: The Catholic Conference.
I take pride in my work ethic both in the classroom and on the field. I take part in a
rigorous schedule at school, including honors and AP classes while maintaining a 4.28 GPA.
In a college, I am looking for a strong academic program where I can major in something
along the lines of Biochemistry, Chemistry, or even in the Medical Field.
On and off the field, I am a true leader, always looking to benefit the lives of others. I am
humble, yet carry a powerful presence to any team I’m on. I hustle on and off the field
every inning. I am the type of person that is never satisfied with my performance. I am
always looking to improve. I am constantly working to get better. That means something
every single day, whether that be swings, fielding reps, or in the gym lifting.
This game, and along with my parents and coaches, have not only made me a better
athlete, but also to be a better person. It has improved my work ethic, how to manage
time, how to deal with discrepancies, and how to be a team player.
I feel that I would be a great fit for any college program, and know that I must continue on
to make my dream of playing college baseball come true.
Thank you for consideration and time for reading this statement.
