Winning the district title last year as a sophomore has been the highlight of my high school career. Being able to lead my team. Pitching the whole game. Then scoring the only run of the game, with a solo home run was amazing. However, I feel like I have grown as a player and a student during my junior year. During this pandemic, I had to depend on and motivate myself to get out there and put in the work. That goes for on the field and in the classroom. This time off helped me work on the little things to get me closer to my goal of playing college level baseball.
I have been dedicated to this sport since I was nine years old. College baseball has always been what I have wanted to do. My step dad played a huge factor with that, especially with pitching. I found love for this sport when I was nine years old because my step dad loved the game, and well I moved up to the country where all there was to do is play sports. Playing this sport I learned that I love to compete with my brothers and having the family bond with the team is the best part. Beyond playing college baseball I want to get my Bachelors and Master degree in Psychology. Being a family/marriage therapist is my goal when I go beyond my days on the field.
What makes me different from others I feel like is, I just have a certain love for the game I don't think most others have. All my life I have always respected the game and played it the right way. Throughout my baseball career I have faced obstacles like, my body growing so fast. I have had to adapt to that change of my body, so I don't fall behind or lose skill. I also had to work out extra hard, and eat better to maintain a good weight because I have a fast metabolism. I just wanna be the best I can be.
Thank you for your time
