My name is Logan Keilen, I’m a 16 year-old Catcher/1st baseman from St. Johns, Michigan. I’ve been playing competitive baseball for the last 8 years. I’m currently playing for the 18U Capital City Kings team in Lansing, Michigan. Throughout the year, I practice up to 5 days a week individually and with multiple college and/or professionally experienced coaches to enhance my skills. I have worked alongside many past and present-day college baseball athletes and have received advice about what differentiates a good athlete from an elite athlete both mentally and physically. I’m committed to working hard academically as well to fulfill my dream of playing baseball at the next level.
Throughout my life, I’ve been a considered a leader on and off the field. I’m willing to help my team through times of adversity with positive encouragement and will push everyone to reach their potential. I’ve learned good sportsmanship and to respect everyone involved in the game….from the players, coaches and umpires. The privilege of being a catcher is to have direct relationships with the umpires to get a different perspective of the game.
Looking forward to what the future holds!
