I am a two sport student-athlete, playing football and baseball on my high school teams. However, there are no off-seasons for me. I train and play tournaments with my travel team in the winter and summer. Although I enjoy a number of sports and activities, baseball is my passion. I have a can-do attitude and give my best in every situation, which is how I believe I developed into such a versatile player. My coaches never hesitate to put me in the outfield, but behind the plate is where I do my best work. I take pride in the trust my coaches have in me to lead our team as catcher. I have earned a starting position on my high school team and multiple MVP awards with my travel team.
I received the President’s Award for Academic Achievement for being on the Honor Roll all three years of middle school. My current high school GPA proves that I continue to take my academic achievements seriously. I love to learn new things and I appreciate a challenge, so I am enrolled in numerous Honors and AP courses. I also seek out opportunities where I can give back to my community-- something I hold dear to my heart. I umpire local Little League games and volunteer to help with baseball skills camps for kids and events for special needs youth.
I am looking for a university with an exceptional academic reputation to pursue a degree in Exercise Science/Kinesiology. On the field, I am looking for a successful program where I can both make an impact and have opportunity for athletic and personal growth.
