Andrew Price '22 Recruiting Profile

I enjoy playing baseball most out of the sports I play which also include soccer and hockey.  I have been playing since I was 4.  I enjoy playing the game hard; hitting as hard as I can, getting dirty when in the field and on the base paths.  I play multiple infield positions and I pitch at a high level.  I have also played outfield and catcher.  I am a switch hitter.  I bring versatility and a good dugout presence to the field every day.  My high school coach says the following:

“Prospective College Coaches,

My name is Adam Hill, I am the head coach of Andrew Price (‘22) at Legacy Christian Academy. I highly recommend Andrew both as a player and as a teammate. A great leader and competitor is something every coach looks for! On the field this season Andrew has been our top catcher and pitcher. He has taken on the new role of catching this season due to having a young group of varsity players in our program and developing the catchers behind him. A solid defensive catcher for sure, but I feel his best positions are at shortstop and pitcher. He is a smooth, sure-handed SS that understands when/how to play the baseball and boasts a strong arm to throw runners out. As a pitcher, he throws three pitches for strikes, has plus movement on his off-speed pitches, and gets hitters to chase on two-strike counts. As he gets better at getting ahead of hitters early in counts he will routinely pitch into the 6th and 7th innings. At the plate, Andrew has been our leader. A very smart hitter that consistently barrels the ball. Leading the program in runs, OPS, OBP, and SLG. He’s second in batting average at .349 and would have more RBI, but he hits 1st or 2nd in our order. At 28 stolen bases in 2021 so far he has tied our school's single-season record.
