Hi! My name is Raquelle Nelson and I’m from Andover, Minnesota. I am currently a junior at Legacy Christian Academy. I’ve been golfing ever since I was little. I also played basketball all the way growing up, stopping freshman year to train consistently in the winter for golf. I’ve been playing competitive JrPGA tournaments starting at age 11. I now play on the Minnesota Players Tour. I’ve been playing on my school’s varsity team since 8th grade. I contributed to my team’s Class A State Championship win. Along with 3 all-conference awards, I was named All-State for Class A for the 2021-2022 season. I was named a captain of our varsity team for the 2022-2023 season.
I am passionate and determined to put in the work needed to play collegiate golf. I have a drive to always work harder, always trying to be better than I was the day before. I strive to be diligent on and off the course, putting in many hours towards my academics, as well as helping around my community. I was named Academic All state for two years in a row, and have a 4.2 cumulative GPA. I’ve been a volunteer at my church for the Prek-2nd grade room for a year and a half now, loving leading the younger kids to Christ. I also work as a lifeguard in the summertime at Edina Country Club.
I am disciplined and understand the hard work it takes to improve, and love the journey along the way. My goal is to find a school that fits me academically and has a strong athletic program. I am excited and determined to play collegiate level golf.
