As a catcher and utility player, I have developed the skills that offer flexibility to coaches to place me wherever I am needed on the field defensively. I am capable and comfortable hitting anywhere in the lineup to help the team produce runs. I continue to learn, play, and grow in the game of baseball. I will be our biggest cheerleader and do what is best for the team.

- 4 CLASS RATING C/OF POSITION PROJECTION 09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Nick is a pure catch and throw backstop who also will make an impact with the bat. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow him to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off of a soft chest. Runners will not want to test his cannon for an arm (92 mph velocity) with impressive pop times of 1.99. Offensively, he continues to shine through a tall, open setup. He has athletic/smooth actions with fluid rhythm to load. He gets good hand separation and delivers the barrel with leverage, resulting in a barrel explosion (83 mph exit velocity) through a line drive approach.

Clean exchange leads to quick release, square blocker. Arm: RH. C - 80 mph. Long arm action, high 3/4 slot. Accurate throws around the bag with advanced arm strength for age. Hit: RHH. Open setup, hands load back, short stride. Long and uphill path, some extension through contact, pull-side approach. Power: 81 mph exit velocity from the tee. Run: 7.41 runner in the 60.

NICHOLAS FITZANKO C / 3B / PARKWAY WEST, MO / 2021 Fitzanko is a long and lean 6-foot-1, 170-pound, right-handed hitting catcher in Missouri’s 2021 class. He ran a 7.43 second 60 and posted an exit velocity of 81 mph. At the plate, Fitzanko starts with an open stance, smaller leg kick into load, minimal negative movement with hands, in line stride, leverages front side, flat bat path, showed middle and pull side contact during round. Defensively behind the plate, Fitzanko has an athletic set up, clean foot work, strong arm with positional velo of 77 mph, pop times between 2.00 and 2.12 seconds, accurate throws.
