I first became involved with volleyball by watching from the sidelines of my dad's games where I learned the fundamentals involved in a sport I would come to adore. Eventually, I progressed to actually playing at the age of 8 years old and I quickly found out that there was a lot more to this game than what I initially believed. It took a few years, but once I became truly committed to it, volleyball opened up an entirely new world for me. Between forming new social circles every year and finding a hobby that directly correlates to who I am as a person, I have found a sport that I will never grow tired of. Now, as a multi-sport athlete balancing demanding classes, I strive for more. I hope to find a college that will utilize my academic and athletic abilities to further my education while also allowing me to participate in a game that never ceases to surprise me. Dreams do not become reality without sweat, determination, and hard work and I this is why I take academics so seriously. Off of the court, I am currently an A+ student taking multiple honors and advanced placement classes and earning A's or H's in them because I understand that you get what you work for. I also get what I work for on the court by putting in sweat and conviction and pushing my teammates to do the same because I know that I will never be as successful alone as I will be with my team. As a result, I pride myself on the multiple awards I've received during my seasons that reflect my diligence and my team's ability to effectively collaborate.
