Baseball has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in my family it was nearly impossible not to love the game. My dad played baseball all through his college years and has now been coaching it since he was in college. He loves the game more than anyone I know. He learned the game from his dad who coached him just like my dad coached me. His teachings, along with other coaches, have molded me into the player that I am today.
Baseball has taught me how to be a leader on and off the field. It also led to some wonderful friendships that I’m so thankful for. Even though I don’t play on the same team with most of them we have still continued our friendships because of the strong bond we made while playing baseball together. Playing baseball has provided me with a strong community of friends, which has greatly enriched my life.
When it it comes to my future plans, I hope to pursue a career in the field of Agriculture. Being able to put together my two passions, baseball and Agricultural, is my ultimate aspiration at the collegiate level. It’s my dream to be able to pursue both and I’m going to continue to work hard in order to ensure that I’m able to do so.
