My primary goal for college is to earn a degree that will allow me to enter the workforce after graduation and be a positive contributor to society. Baseball has been a great path for me in high school and traveling clubs to meet new people, see new places, and enjoy the experiences the sport presents. While at college I aspire to continue these important life experiences and I feel baseball will continue to be a tremendous avenue for me.
I am a fantastic candidate for a college baseball team because of what I can represent off the field as much as I can on the field. Off the field I am a respectful, responsible individual that demonstrates positive behavior to the community. I am a conscience student that takes class work seriously and understands that higher education is not only a privilege but improves our world. On the field you will find that my respect for teammates, coaches, and the opposing teams is in concert with my off the field characteristics. Combined with my skill sets as a baseball player a college team will find me to be a player asset that is eager to learn, eager to develop, and eager to support the team to be as successful as possible.
A college team will find my character to be genuine, honest, respectful, hard working, and always willing to learn and improve. I look to my coaches as leaders and educators. Being a strong teammate that plays my position and does my job well is important to me.
I view athletics and my athletic abilities as both a privilege and a responsibility. My athletics are a privilege because I know lefties when developed properly are an asset to a team and can be used as an advantage to help a team be successful. My athletics are a responsibility to keep myself healthy and live in healthy ways to keep my playing abilities at peak level, but I also know that society looks to athletes to be positive role models and meaningful examples for our communities.
Academics are extremely important to me, I understand that being a good student and achieving higher education are critical stepping stones to achieving a successful career and contributing to our world.
