I have played baseball since I was four years old and for me, baseball isn't just a sport it's a passion. Through baseball, I have learned that I am very competitive, I don't give up, and I hate to lose. In tough situations, I rise up and play my best. An example of this was when I was playing 13U our team found ourselves down 12 runs in the top of the first inning, with only one out. My coach walked to the mound and pulled me from shortstop to pitch. After I stepped on the mound, we got out of the inning and held them scoreless for the next 5 innings. My team rallied behind me and ended with a W. From then on my coach called me his 'clutch player' because I never ever give up.
My family means a lot to me. My parents adopted me just before I was eleven months old, I had spent the first ten months of my life bouncing around between five foster homes with my birth mother who was only 14 years old. I don't feel adopted because my parents love me as their own. They believe in me and support me, they have made every sports game I've played. When I was four I was diagnosed with type one diabetes, but I will never let that stop me from playing my hardest and doing my best in life. As a teammate, I love to encourage whoever is put on the field, even if I'm sitting out. Most of the parents and players would identify me as the team cheerleader. As a 2024 graduate, I want to make the honor roll and earn the presidential award, all while playing varsity football, basketball, and baseball. My collegiate goals are to excel as a student and an athlete through hard work and dedication. I think attitude guides me, and I believe I can put in the time and effort to achieve my goals.
