My name is Jack Hulinsky. I am 5’11” and 160 lb. My birthdate is August 3, 2005. I am completing my freshman year in high school at Grand Island Central Catholic.
I have been playing baseball since I was 7 years old. I have played most of my career on a USSSA team. I have competed against the best teams and players in Nebraska and have had great coaches. In the fall of 2020, I played for the Prospects 2024 team. On this team, we played teams from Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois and Nebraska. During this time, I grew the most in my knowledge as a player and increased my skills rapidly. This spring I played for Grand Island Senior High co-op team playing beside teammates from every high school in Grand Island and started every game. I will be playing Legion baseball this summer. In the winter, I am constantly working on my skills in indoor settings.
What sets me apart from other players is my versatility on the field. I can play most any position well including outfield, 3rdbase, 2nd base, pitcher and catcher. I live for baseball and work hard literally every day at increasing my skills in various ways. I have also worked one-on-one with coaches and players to increase my knowledge and skill. My work ethic and zest for learning all I can is second to none. I will play anywhere I am needed and put my trust in the coach to make the best decisions for the team.
Although baseball is my passion, I am also passionate about my faith, my true lifelong friendships, my family, my dogs and serving the community. I have been strongly influenced by my family, friends and school. At Central Catholic, I have learned how to strive academically even when something is not a strength, developed good study habits to prepare for college and have received a well-rounded education and extra curricular activities. In addition to baseball, I have participated in the school musical, choir, basketball, football and track. I have volunteered for many school and community events. I have begun umpiring for youth baseball games. In my downtime, I enjoy hanging out with my friends.
My goal is to play baseball in college. I am interested in several different areas of study or vocations and am still doing career exploration. I know whatever path I choose; I will work my hardest to live to my full potential. I am open to different types of colleges but want a coach and team to work with that also gives their 100%. I thrive in an environment that is constantly learning and improving.
I appreciate your time in getting to know me more.
