I grew up watching my oldest brother play high school baseball for one of the top Nebraska high school programs at the time (2011-2014), appearing in 3 straight state championship games and winning two of them. While playing baseball down the foul lines with other younger brothers I was able to see what commitment to excellence, teamwork and sacrifice meant and involved. This helped me to see early on what it was going to take for me to not just succeed as an individual but as a member of a team as well. This impression has always stayed with me as I set my goals to play at the next level.
