My goals as an individual is to become successful. Success for me is defined by being able to enjoy life with work & life balance. My goals as a student are to be a straight-A student through my four years of high school at Creighton Prep and put myself in a position to go to an Ivy League Medical School. My goals as an athlete are to become a good teammate day in and day out, be a contributor to any team that I am on and to become the best I can be. I pride myself as a fifteen year old to be able to overcome situations. For example, like being that “clutch” player, where, when I’m up to bat, my team knows that I will find a way to get them in a position to win. Last year, I led my team in home runs (7) and a grand slam. This year as a Freshman on Varsity, I’ve had 3 tripples so far and as Center Fielder I’ve been told I have made several Major League-level defensive stops. It’s important to me that my team knows I don’t just try to swing for the fence but I try to put the ball in play, if it happens to go over the fence, so be it. At the end of the day, I’m more proud of myself when I get RBI’s over homeruns. I believe these qualities of focus, determination, hard work and persistence will allow me to be successful in the future.
