Personal Statement
I've always dreamed about becoming a professional baseball player and a doctor. I never thought it would be possible to do both, however while I attend college I would love to play baseball while studing medicine. I've always wanted to pitch in the world series and be able to play baseball all of my life. On the other hand, while I was going through school I have acquired more and more knowledge about medicine and science and I realized that my other passion in life is medicine. After I lost one of my closest friends to cancer and multiple other friends and family members to cancer I realized that I could help this world the most through medicine and becoming a doctor. I also was inspired to help others through my experiences volunteering for Invisible Children, Make-a-wish, and Relay for Life ( a cancer organization). I dream about openning up more clinics in Africa because the ratio of people to doctors in Africa is 1/100,000 and I want to study and improve the field of Encollogy by becoming an Encollogist.
I aspire to be great and to be all I can be in this world.

- We took second in the Las Vegas city tournament and I pitched and played 3rd base, along with left field.

- Played in multiple regional tournaments in Northern Arizona and Lake Havasu and took first in Flagstaffs baseball tournament.

- Ian has been a assistant trainer for the Minnesota Twins youth baseball camps under Twins Pitching Coach- Eric Lovedahl. He also spent a week in 2010 with the Twins in Spring Training.

- AwardsRepresentative on the Chemistry School Olympics team (Chemistry Olympiad), 4th in the nation in French language exam, and I received the academic award in AP chemistry out of all of my peers. Also, I've been on Honor roll every single semester that I've been at The Meadows School.
- ActivitiesPresident of Invisible Children at School, Lead Actor in over 5 school play productions in the past three years, and lead supporting cast in 2 school productions. I've been an English teacher to Spanish students in Spain for the past three summers. I've traveled on a culture trip with my school to Argentina-Brazil, Cultural Immersion Language trip to France with his school. I do fundraisers and I promote cancer awareness and I raise money for multiple different cancer foundations past two years. Also, since I was in 8th grade I've gone to Spain and taught English to Spaniard students. I have over 1,400 hours community service documented.
