I have had a love, passion, and drive to play baseball at the next level for as long as I can remember. My love for baseball started out playing whiffle ball when I was about five years old. I have played T-ball, Little League and I am now playing high school and travel baseball. Baseball is a game where the statistics show that every player fails a lot. It is how a player decides to deal with those “failures” that shows whether they will be a success. Success can be found in facing a pitcher who has struck you out multiple times, but every time you enter the batter’s box you are ready to win the battle.
I have personally had a couple of big successes over the last couple of years. One of these successes has been improving my mental confidence. This improvement has been accomplished by putting in extra work, seeking advice from multiple coaches, and by studying the game of baseball. Additionally, I ask for opportunities to practice and play with older and more developed players so I can be challenged to continue my growth. Playing alongside these people has increased my confidence level because I have been able to experience both failure and success at a higher level. Throughout the next couple of years, I am going to continue to work hard in order to grow into the best baseball player I can be as well as the best teammate, classmate, and overall person on and off the field.
