I have been swimming competitively since I was 4 years old. Swimming has been a part of my life for almost my entire life and I wouldn't have it any other way. The pool is like a second home to me.
In my eyes, swimming is the sport of ultimate perseverance and dedication. Without those two things, it is almost impossible to be a successful swimmer. I think that I would be a good candidate for any team because of my perseverance and dedication to swimming. In November of 2018 I contracted Mono which took me out of school for almost 2 months and took me out of swimming for almost 4 months. I was not fully recovered until about 8 months after that. I stuck with swimming and school and now I am back on track with both swimming and academics.
I look at academics the same way I look at swimming. To be successful you must be dedicated, which I am. I maintain a high GPA while taking both AP and honors classes as well as being member of NHS. As for extracurricular activities, I participate in my church's choir as a drummer and I am also an Eagle Scout.
Over all, I believe that I would be a great addition to any school or swim team due to my dedication to the sport and my dedication to academics.
