Rodney "Manny" Velardi '21 Recruiting Profile

I'm a hardworking kid and I love the game of baseball. I always work hard on and off the field, no matter what.  I might not be the tallest or biggest kid out there but that gives me more motivation to work even harder. As a baseball player I'm top of the order hitter and I try to be an annoying scrappy batter. I foul off a lot of pitches and work deep into count, I like to consider myself a very very tough out. And when I do get on base i use every chance I get to use my speed. My freshman year I set the record for stolen bases I stole 30 bases in 11 games and never got thrown out.  In the classroom I'm slightly different, I'm more laid back but the determination doesn't change. I aim to be at the top of my class and get the best grades possible.
