As a student-athlete, I am always looking to do more than just my job both on and off of the field. I not only want to develop myself as a well-rounded person/player, but I want the same for my team and teammates. Allowing us, as a team, to work together and compete while appreciating the definition of a team. I am determined to become the best I can possibly be while valuing teamwork, commitment, and sacrifice.
I am fully committed to taking my baseball career to the highest level. Each day, I focus on becoming a better athlete and student. Baseball has not only made me a better person, it has also taught me many valuable lessons and has helped me develop leadership qualities both on and off of the field. I have learned the value of commitment, dedication, appreciation, time management and drive. I hope to continue to use baseball as a vehicle to allow me to receive an excellent education as I prepare for the future.
Through baseball, my confidence and leadership have grown, molding me into the athlete, student, and teammate that I am today. As a student of the game, I'm always pushing myself to do better. Simply stated, I am a ball player who just loves the game of baseball. I respect the game and all the people I have played with. I have been fortunate to have learned the game from many great coaches and without them, I wouldn't be the player that I am today. I know that I am not done learning, no one ever is.
There is always room for improvement and I'm always challenging myself to meet personal goals. I am ready for my next goal and challenge; playing baseball at the college level. I am confident that I have not only the drive but coachability to play baseball at the next level.
My academic goals for high school is to maintain a high GPA and to score above 1200 on the SAT. I will also continue volunteering in the community. I would like to earn my Bachelor’s degree in either Business or Finance while playing the sport I love.
