Motivated, determined and hard working- best describes my work ethic on and off the field. Hello, my name is Samantha Rotundo. I'm currently a junior and 2nd year Varsity GK at New Egypt High School. For most players, soccer has been their sport since they started at 4 years old. Although I've also played since I was 4 years old, I developed a hunger and passion to be challenged and play more competitively just a few years ago. Since 2018, I've played with the Jackson Soccer Club "Power", a National Premier Team, as a midfielder and relief goalie. As a 2nd year Varsity starting GK with New Egypt High School, I've earned 318 saves in my first season, and over 110 saves this season, with "10 clean sheets". In addition to a successful soccer season, I manage to play tenor saxophone for my high school marching band. Goalie by day, musician by night. Additionally, I am also an Ambassador Girl Scout working toward my Gold Award, it's the highest award earned by a Girl Scout, active in my school by participating in Business Academy, FBLA, Fishing & Archery Club, Spanish Club, Honors Classes, Varsity LAX and JV bowling. In my community, I referee for my town's soccer recreation league and when time allows, I volunteer in my community. Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement.
"Motivation starts it, determination finishes it and hard work drives the dream. - Sam "The Roadblock" Rotundo
