Rick Trapanese '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Rick Trapanese, I’m 17 years old, a junior at New Egypt High School in New Jersey with a cumulative GPA of 97.2/100. I'm 6'1 175 and play 1B, OF, 3B, MIF and RHP. From a young age, I knew I wanted to play baseball at the collegiate level and beyond, since then I’ve been determined to practice, train, and, better myself to achieve that goal. I’ve kept that determination throughout my high school career, taking advantage of every opportunity and resource available to me both athletically and academically. I'm the kind of kid that puts the work in when no one is watching, whether it be, lessons with my hitting coach Mike Thompson, working out at Alpha Athletics, throwing and hitting into my net at home, or doing agility ladder drills in my driveway. One thing coaches will never have to worry about is me slacking off or not giving everything I got, every single day.  A big part of that drive comes from self-motivation to constantly better myself, I've worked and trained nearly my whole life for the opportunity to play baseball at the collegiate level. Another big part of my motivation is my parents, they are my biggest supporters and for all that they do for me, they deserve my absolute best. I was never given a god-gifted talent in baseball, I’ve had to work hard for my success, and I look to keep that determination and work-ethic in college.
