My name is Sean Vining. I am very interested in continuing my baseball career at the next level. My baseball journey began at the age of 4. I began playing on my local little league team in my hometown. That is where I fell in love the game. From that point on I have been dedicated towards learning how to better my skills, competing, and working hard to become the best player and individual that I can be. I have been very fortunate to be able to play with so many talented coaches and players over the years. I was also fortunate enough to play in some highly competitive tournaments out of state such as Kentucky and Ohio which gave me the opportunity to play with very competitive teams throughout the country. I primarily play all Outfield positions. I can play in any spot in the outfield because I have good feet work, and have the ability to track the ball after it hits the barrel of the bat. I am able to take the appropriate angle to catch the ball and with my speed, and a strong arm I can send the ball where it needs to be in order to get the out. I am willing to be utilized in any way to help the team move forward. In addition to my abilities and willingness to do what it takes to be successful within my team, I am a coachable player as well. I currently play for the Tri-State Arsenal 18U Prime team and play varsity at WC Mepham High School which made it to the playoffs this past season for our division. This season I have felt comfortable at the plate. I am a power hitter that is able to hit the ball where it needs to be depending upon the situation that is needed. I aim to hit the gaps and want to hit the ball where its pitched. In addition I was awarded the Coaches Award this season as well.
In school I was invited to be a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. Additionally, I am taking AP classes, and other classes to challenge me such as Criminal Law. I currently have a 3.4 GPA. My SAT total score was 1090 (580 Reading and 510 Math).
