March 2017Personal Statement
My main goal for college baseball is to compete at my highest capable level and to work hard everyday to better myself and the team! I want to win as much as possible, and help continue building the program that I become a part of. I want to become a leader over time and develop great relationships with my coaches and teammates that will last a lifetime.
I have played on the varsity team since my Freshman year, and have been voted captain in my Junior year. I play Center field and bat leadoff.
I am also an exceptional student with my overall average being 91 this school season. I have been a part of the Honor Roll every year since my freshman year. I am enrolled in college calculus, physics, forensics, and English. I am also a member of the National Honor Society, environmental club, math club, and president of the SAT prep club. As of right now I would like to go into one of the following fields of study: Paleontology/Paleobiology/Biology, Geological/Environmental Sciences/Geology.

On pitch his trigger is a step forward to square up and little movement with his hands. Quick hands to the hitting zone with good bat action to a two handed high finish. Good footwork getting behind fly balls. Good arm action on throwing ball in from OF."

- " Hard worker, looking forward to see him in the future. In the field Boyle shows good footwork, and a low/wide stance receiving the ball. Hands are out front, brings ground balls back to center before separation. Quick release from low 3/4 arm angle. Moves well from side to side. Hitting from the right side he starts slightly open and gets back to even with toe tap. Level, smooth swing, with good rhythm. Keeps his hands inside the ball. On the mound he starts his hands high and drops them while going to side step. Uses drop and drive approach. Long but quick high 3/4 arm slot."
