Hi my name is Brandon Jesus Clemente and im currently 16 years old and I have been starting on my schools baseball team since freshman year. Upon trying out for the team freshman year my coach,Danny Hughes, was amazed by my fielding ability and my eagerness to get better. With his recognition of my dreams and skills he helped me to become a feared fielder at the second base position. The following year I made the switch over to shortstop where I was really able to show off my skills. I made several diving catches and in september of 2011 I made a highlight real play to end a game, where I chased down a ball in the gap between short and left field and I literarly flipped to catch the ball with 2 outs in the last inning. I have attended numerous clinics and I was a member of the Baseball Made Simple (BMS) Training Club in the Bronx, New York.
I am a leader academically and athletically. In the class room I get my work done and love to learn. In sports I am a great team mate, I help my team members to get better and help them to brush off bad plays. Currently I am the co captain of my schools varsity basketball team, however baseball is my true passion and where I wish to succeed in the future.
I began playing baseball when I was just six and by the time I was 12 I developed the dream of wanting to play in college, whether it be division 1 or junior college, i will strive to just be my very best. Being the best but still humble is a motto I live by because I want to be the best but to be the best you must first beat the best and that I have yet to do and probably never do because there will always be competition out there one way or another(although I am still optimistic that I will one day do that) and also to be the best on the field I must still perform in the class room.
Accomplishments that I have is pitching a perfect game when I was 12 and also becoming a champion and league MVP when I was 14. Starting on the varsity team since freshman year is also another accomplishment because only a handful of players are able to do that and only about 6% of students in the nation get to play highschool varsity sports.
I desire to go to the University of Connecticutt but I know inorder to go to a University I must still have certain academic milestones that I need to accomplish. Even though this is a school I am intersted in I am still open to any other school interested in me. I am just interested in getting a good education because education is my main priority.
