Personal Statement

One thing that makes me different than most recruits is that I am part of a military family and have lived in several different cities to include Landsthul, Germany. This has allowed me to learn to quickly adapt to new environments and to fit in with each new peer group. Being able to play club baseball in Texas, Virginia and now New York has been a blessing because it has created many opportunities for me to quickly develop new friendships with new teammates and classmates. My father is an active duty Army Officer stationed at the US Military Academy at West Point. I am grateful to have the good fortune of being the recipient of my dads GI bill which will pay for a significant portion of my college education. I am honest, loyal and selfless and have always been ready and willing to make sacrifices for my teammates and friends on and off the field. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and will graduate with high honors from a highly competitive academic High School. I also aspire to graduate with honors from one of the top undergraduate engineering college programs in the country. I am looking for a college that will also offer me the opportunity to meet my goal of being a key contributor towards the success of a competitive college baseball program. I believe I possess the athletic skills, baseball IQ and work ethic needed  to be part of a competitive college baseball program. If given the opportunity I plan to make the most of it and like I have always done in the past, I intend to meet or exceed my goals. I am looking forward to being a college student athlete and I can't wait to begin my college experience.

  • Dynamic Warm-up. Hitting & defensive instruction followed by competitions. Daniels group won the box drill competition. He ran 60YD of 7.08 seconds x 2. Daniel did very well on defensive evaluation and was error free. Feedback was positive with recommendation to improve footwork. Hitting evaluation was the high point with 6 of 8 pitches from Coach Bradley hit for hard line drives. F2F with Coach Bradley went well with him commenting on Daniels strength and ability to consistently hit line drives. Also met Coach Jurzcynski for 2nd time & he commented that Daniel can really hit. He also shared they are recruiting a true 1st baseman for 2020 & plan to make a decision in between late July and end of August for 2020 recruits. Players gave us 1 hour tour of the campus sharing that they liked the diversity of the students, the history of the University & the meal groups which every Sophomore gets to join as a social network. The things they liked the least was the weather & the adjustment to the academic demands of freshman year. Typical game day is class until Noon with a meal on the Bus. Warm-ups and game followed by bus ride back NLT midnite. Midweek games are usually closer to Princeton to minimize missing classes. Regular practice day is strength & conditioning at 7 or 8am follow by breakfast then classes from 8-Noon & 1-3pm. Practice runs from 3:30 to 6PM with early group from 3:30 to 5pm & if you have later classes until 4:20 then practice is 4:30 to 6PM. Minimum SAT is approximately 1250-1300. The higher your SAT the more room coach has to recruit you b/c Ivy league sets requirement of minimum Team Avg SAT score that Coach Bradley must meet.
