My name is Carter Albano. I am currently a Junior at Columbia High school in East Greenbush, New York. Baseball has been a passion of mine since I was 4 years old. I would spend hours in my backyard hitting a ball off a tee and begging my dad to play catch with me. That progressed to dragging him to the Little League Field to practice hitting and fielding. As time went on, my love for the game grew more and more. I have been playing baseball for both Goff Middle School and Columbia High School since 7th grade as well as continuously playing in both Little League and travel ball consecutively. Last year I was one of two freshmen to make the JV baseball team. I primarily played 3rd and short but also had great success in the outfield as well as with pitching. In short, I'm a utility player that can play any position with confidence and follow through. I love working hard on the field, in the gym as well as with my studies. My current GPA is 94%. I pride myself by saying that I have received high honor role since sixth grade and anticipate on keeping this going through my senior year.
In addition to baseball, I have played on both the modified and JV Boys Volleyball team. This past JV season, we went undefeated going 14-0 and winning three separate tournaments. I also participate in indoor track during the winter season, jumping the triple jump, the high jump and the long jump.
I am looking forward to the many possibilities that await me in college and beyond. My hardworking ethic, my love for the game and my willingness to work hard towards my future goals, help to keep me grounded and excited for whatever comes next.
