I love all sports and I excel at them all, however I chose baseball as my favorite because it is exciting, fun, and rewarding. I've been playing baseball since I was 7 years old. Hitting 4 home runs (one a grand slam over the green monster) all at Cooperstown's All Star Village and setting the record for the most home runs in the 10U division tournament was a huge highlight in my younger years.
I have been playing in competitive travel baseball programs in Pennsylvania and New York for the past 9 years and have learned the value of teamwork, commitment, and sacrifice. My freshman and sophomore years, I took on the leadership role of helping and guiding my HS teammates in being the best possible players they could be. I have had to overcome numerous situations over the years which has made me more resilient and understanding of others. This is why I enjoy helping my teammates and others.
By incorporating a rigorous workout routine overseen by my school's strength & conditioning trainers, I began growing as a student athlete my sophomore year and continued to train off season. Although I was a three sport athlete in the fall of 2019, I decided to put my efforts into my travel baseball team to continue to showcase regionally and compete in Florida (Perfect Game). I continue to strive to improve my skill level at every opportunity.
Although I am primarily shortstop, my other position strengths are 3rd base and 2nd base. I also pitch. Currently I fill in when needed on my travel/showcase team, but am a primary starting pitcher for my HS team. Beyond that, I have filled in playing every other position on the field.
My academic goal for HS is to graduate with over a 97 GPA. I want to continue to develop my character and surround myself with people that will encourage and challenge me in my thinking and learning on the field and in the classroom. I am a player who strives to stand out beyond the rest and in college I want to be on a team where we strive together to stand out beyond the rest. I will continue to strive to be a champion in all that I do.
