January 2020Personal Statement
I started playing organized baseball at 4 years old, but it became my passion at 9 years old when I played on my first travel baseball team. The competition, practices and improvement I made as the years went on fueled my passion for playing in college.
I've been on the high honor roll/honor roll each semester since seventh grade. I enjoy learning and excelling in school and have been lucky to have great teachers help me and influence me along the way.
The highlight of my high school career was making the varsity team as a sophomore and going 8 for 9 while getting on base 11 straight times in a week. I am a very coachable player and show respect to my coaches and teammates on and off the field. The feeling of being a student-athlete, balancing good grades, and putting in the hard work to be successful on the diamond, is what made me grow as a person. After losing in the semi-finals, it made me never want to lose again. It has made me train harder than ever, especially to play at the next level.
