I live in a small town where there are some benefits and disadvantages. As for academics, it has been nice to have small classes and teachers that are very dedicated. As a result of that dedication and my effort with my studies I have become a National Honor Society member. As an athlete in a small town most people assume that it would be very easy and not much effort is needed to make and play on a team. In my case that has been opposite. There have been times throughout my career that we didn't have enough kids to play a game and in some cases enough to make a team. Through those struggles I have had to learn to adapt and try to fit in on other teams that were already established. In doing so, I have learned a lot about what it takes to fit into a program and most of all to love and respect the game of baseball because its truly a privilege and honor to have a chance to play the game.
