Quinn Miller - PB...Personal Statement
I like the challenge on the baseball field when I know that my team is depending on me when I'm pitching or hitting. I have learned that even when the outcome doesn't go my way, I can learn from those experiences and get better for the next opportunity. I am looking forward to starting high school this fall and am working on deciding what I would like to major in during college. The one thing I do know, is that I would like to play baseball and be a part of a college team.

- Physical: Long, athletic 5-foot-11, 155lb build with more coming. 8.03 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: RHH. Wider, slightly crouched stance, as the hands begin set and still at the shoulder. Utilized a traditional lift-and-replace to initiate the swing through a flat, twitchy path into the hitting zone with some burst towards the pull-side. Accelerated on the ball when pitched over the middle of the plate, recording a T80 mph exit velocity. Lofty approach during BP (63% FB rate). Defensively: The primary outfielder stalked the ball with slight downhill chest angles and an accurate glove-hand off his left hip. Fielded cleanly and crow-hopped before grabbing the top OF velo of the event at 83 mph. Full range-of-motion, some carry. Pitching: RHP. Starts off the center of the rubber; average pace. Repeated the delivery with hip/shoulder separation present, holding 77-79 mph for strikes with ride/run traits. Mixed a quality 67-69 mph CB with hard bite across the zone (2501, 5 inch HM).
