Oscar Aucoin '23 Recruiting Profile

Growing up in the Bronx, baseball has always been a huge part of my life.  Pushing myself to do well in school and being a positive member of my community are both immensely important to me as well.  

I am a 6’4”, 200# rising senior right-handed pitcher (RHP) with a 103/100 overall high school average.  I am focused on finding a college where I can learn, contribute, and grow, both in the classroom and on the field.  I have played baseball every season since starting t-ball in Kindergarten, and am a three-year varsity starter for my high school team. 

This past season, I was awarded the Public School Athletic League Leader Award for the best ERA in the division (0.7 during the regular season, 1.4 during the playoffs), and helped to lead my team to the playoffs and the final championship game played at the Staten Island Yankees Ball Park.  Simultaneously, I was able to focus on my classes, earning honors, maintaining a high GPA, and completing my third college class at the City University of New York – Hunter College with a final grade of A.  

As a true scholar-athlete committed to achievement in both the academic and athletic realm, I possess a set of skills that includes leadership as well as teamwork and collaboration; commitment and a strong work ethic along with time management; and excellent physical and emotional health.  I am excited about the future and look forward to continuing to play baseball and expanding my intellectual capacity at the next level.
