John Dwyer '23 Recruiting Profile

Baseball has always been an important part of my life and has only grown more important to me over the years.  It has taught me many things as I’ve developed into a young man.  Because of this, it is very much more than just a game to me.  I am working to play baseball at the next level because I do not want high school to be the end of the road.  I work hard and will continue to work hard in college because I don’t want my journey with this sport to end.  I feel as though I can benefit your team in a variety of ways, much more than just at the plate and behind the dish.  Since I was little, my parents have always stressed the importance of being a leader and leading by example.  Being a catcher, I believe leadership is a necessary quality and I see myself as a leader on and off the field.  I always try to help and motivate my teammates and I love bringing energy to the game because teams with energy win games.  In addition to a high level of baseball, I am looking for a high academic program because I greatly value my education.  Thank you for your time and I hope you consider me for your program and school.
